Do You Stealth Vape?

You might have heard of the term “stealth vaping” or at least known about the concept. This is what we call the practice of vaping on the sly, usually in places where vaping is not accepted. Now, the UK hasn’t outright banned vaping in public like the US has in many of its states, but there are still lots of places in the UK where vaping isn’t socially acceptable.

Dinner parties, schools, anywhere there are children around and social gatherings of all kinds all hold a sort of stigma for e-cig usage. Anytime you are around friends who don’t vape, you may also want to keep your e-cigarette usage private and to yourself. Vaping in public is often a social exercise, and it is something people like to do in groups, much like smoking. When no one in your group vapes, though, it can make things awkward for you. In this instance if you really want to vape there are websites online that let you purchase 0mg nicotine liquids. You may feel like you have to explain to your friends how harmless the vapor is and that it is in fact vapor and not smoke that is coming from your e-cig.

If you are surrounded by people who are uninformed about vaping, then it may just make more sense to keep the vaping to yourself and only do it out of sight of everyone else. Your friends may be bothered by the smell or the sight of it, and many people associate vaping with smoking. They may not see much of a difference between the two, and of course smoking is often seen as rude in many circles.

So, it can be sensible to just vape when no one else is around or find yourself a quiet place away from everyone to vape. You don’t necessary have to feel guilty that your friends are not accepting of your e-cig use. You may just be trying to not annoy or offend them. They may not understand what vaping entails, and you don’t want to have them think that you are endangering their health or the health of their children.

We live in very health conscious world now, and more people than ever are aware of the dangers of certain substances they consume, touch and breathe. However, vaping is still relatively new, and many people don’t fully understand how few risks it poses and how safe it can be. Rather than explain to them every time you want to pull out your e-cig and take a puff, you can just do it quietly somewhere all alone.

It may be better to convince your friends of the merits of vaping sometime when you are not puffing in front of them. They may come over to your way of thinking in time, and until then, you may just want to stealth vape. It’s something that a lot of people do, and it’s not so much about social stigma or shame or even health risks so much as it is about respecting your friends and trying not to upset them.

Most people who vape will stealth vape at some point in their life, and it’s not something that needs to be thought of as shameful. You’re not hiding a dark secret, after all, and there are certain situations where stealth vaping is the best way to go. Anyone who uses e-cigs needs to be aware of when it is the right time to be discreet with their vaping.
