National Vegetarian Week 20th to 25th May 2008

With the weather looking more like December than April, we thought we'd bring a little sunshine to National Vegetarian Week which Sibila will be celebrating every evening between the 20th and 24th of May with a special Mediterranean "Cruise" menu.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Starting with a selection of 12 Tapas from the West and Mezze from the East, the Main courses reflect an itinerary of 7 ports of call all around the Mediterranean:

Barcelona (Spain) -Chickpea and pear stew with almond sauce and saffron rice
Naples (Italy) - Lettuce and asparagus pie served with pickled courgettes
Dubrovnik (Croatia) – Stuffed pointed peppers served with braised potatoes and red onion salad
Athens (Greece) - Bamies me tomates: okra, leeks and tomato stew served with shorthalia and broad beans v
Istanbul (Turkey) - Iman Biyaldi (aubergine casserole) served with white beans
Haifa (Israel) - Sibila's vegetarian version of the traditional sabbath stew, Dafina, with bright green salad
Tunis (Tunisia) - Vegetable tangine with pumpkin couscous served with prune and onion confit

£13.90pp for 2 courses, add £3.90 for a third course.

Choose any two mezze/tapas as a starter. Add more starters at £2.10 each selection.
